Simply Sublime: TT Sports Park

Food For Thought
The plastic things on the end of shoelaces are called aglets.

Paintball. Indeed a sport of merriment and pleasure, but with an exorbitant following. Bearing this concept in mind, Shaun, Yindran, Justin, Woon, Keat Yeong, Teck Juan and I embarked on a priceless experience of sheer shooting. Teck Juan was the coordinator for the outing where he invited 5 other S3 students, which consisted of Jeffery, Wai Kit, Henri, Roy and Hong Kim. The prospects of having a shootout between the S2 and S3 students gave me a boost in morale as I am a man of adherence and devotion when the unity of classes are concerned. I only knew about this a day before the event, and thoughts of victory and glory were already swirling and saturated nside my head.

'Alas, an opportunity to transcend above the S3 students in a whole new arena. A chance to settle the rivalry and conflict on a battlefield where we can call ourselves Men after. An tremendous fortuitous bequeathed upon me and my fellow comrades. And tomorrow, all that we shall do, is Seize the day - Carpe Diem'

The day started off with Justin giving me a ride to the train station. As we arrived at the wrong station, we decided to buy a ticket to the next station to meet up with the rest. Keat Yeong and Hong Kim just arrived then as well, so together we went to the next station.

Once we got on the train, the gang told us that everyone was ready and that we're ready to head off to the Subang Jaya station. So, they bought us tickets from that station to the latter so that we need not get off.

When we arrived at the Shah Alam station, Woon wasn't present at the station to board the train. So, we all got off and waited for nearly an hour for his arrival. Yesh Woon, nearly an hour.

Finally, we reached there at 11.15 a.m. Teck Juan had booked the field for 12.00 p.m. The cushion time he foresaw for the late arrivals was spot on. Good Job. Teck Juan capsuled us on how we will be getting to the sports park. The statement he made saying that we had to pass by a crocodile farm startled me. The jolt send my whole body into a paralyzing state. We started walking towards the TT Sports Park. Thank God for the cloudy weather, we were able to enjoy a nice stroll.

'You're marching the wrong way!'

'Yesh. I own that gay and fugly bag.'

But it wasn't later on our journey, then I should never have put faith into the words of Teck Juan. Balderdash, drivel, or nonsense. Call it what you want, but it's still rubbish in the end. Take a look at this.

A restaurant. He's the only one capable to make such a ludicrous mistake.

When we got there, we stumbled upon a magnificent field of grass, with Styrofoam barriers scattered randomly. A resplendent sight, indeed. I grinned as I envision myself as one of the players.

This field was named as 'Kamikaze'

We gathered at the main office and signed ourselves in. Coincidently, all of us were wearing the P.E. T-shirt from our former school. All of us but, Shaun. Gratitude given to Teck Juan for the initiative. I decided to give each one of the S2 Team slick and sly nicknames. No, I'm will not change it even if you gave me money.

Deservedly, the nickname 'The Maestro'

With his vast knowledge and experience gained from three other paintball matches, he practically dominated every round. His proficient shooting techniques and clumsy running style prove to be a ruling fusion.

'The Phenomenon'

With only one paintball match under his belt, he proved himself to be on the same par as Teck Juan. His sharp shooting skills has definitely earned him the title, 'The Phenomenon'. His devotion and selflessness has truly become an inspiration to the group.

'The Vigilant'

First off, I must apologize for the picture. It's the only one I have of you, alone. Justin is a first timer in paintball but has adapted quickly to the tempo of the game. Assigned as the lookout, he has strike down several opponents from far range and halt the forward force of the enemy significantly.

'The Prodigy' or rather, 'The Chiqu Slayer'

Just like Justin, this was also his first time. Calling himself 'The Chiqu Slayer', he exudes prodigious qualities that neither of us would expect. Being aware and learning from his surroundings and the behavior of the opponents, he is able to adapt to the tempo of the game and shows off remarkable combat skills in a short period of time. Mutilating many of the opponents in one wave, he has prove himself to indeed be 'The Chiqu Slayer'.

'The Legend'

The phrase known to many, is only applicable for this man. 'Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee'. His audacious and bold approach to the game is above par for someone playing on his first try. Quick on his feet, he is the one that leads the attack and charges forward without a moments hesitation. Darting and dashing across the battlefield seems effortless for this wunderkind. Shaun, all you need is a dog named 'Sam' and you can declare this ground zero. =)

'The Juggernaut'

'A gentlemen in the streets, but a juggernaut in the battlefield'. I do believe I posses unprecedented skills as well. Despite having to reflect on faulty equipment in 4 out of the 6 rounds, I manage to come out on top with the elimination of some of the paintball aces like Keat Yeong. I believe I'm deserve of the title, 'The Juggernaut'. No, I don't want your opinion. =)
